The 5th of October

We didnt do much today. We went to the science museum. We saw Apollo 10 command module which was really cool. We went to the IMAX theatre there. It was the height of 4 double decker buses it was massive.
After the Science Museum we went up to Harrods - it was really busy and we didn't stay there for long. We were supposed to go to Kensington Palace today but we were all so tired we just went home. We went out for dinner to a steak house which was pretty yuk and cost 63 pound!!!!!!!!!!!Should have just had a 3 pound Subway!

The 4th of Oct

Today we went to the London Eye. It was really great to the whole city and get some idea of where things are. It was VERY high up. It was another lovely sunny day today and quite warm - about 16C. So much for dreary English weather.
After the London Eye we walked to Big Ben. Daniel loved seeing the huge clock - he has been dying to go there since we got to London. After that we walked to Westminister Abbey. It was really interesting to see where the Kings and Queens and many other important people were buried. We saw where Isaac Newton, Mary Queen of Scots and Charles Darwon just to name some of them. We had lunch there YUM YUM ! and there
Once we were refuelled we caught a double decker bus up to Trafalgar Square and saw Nelsons Column and saw the huge lions - they really were HUGE! Then we zapped on the tube to Leister Square and went to the movies. A HUGE theatre which holds over 1000 people. It cost a small fortune 82 pound to go! Eeek! Another busy day of fun.

The 3rd of Oct

T
Today we went to lots of places. First we went to The Tower of London. It was a really fascinating place and we spent a lot of time there. You could have easily spent all day there. It was a lot bigger than we expected, not just a fortress with a tower in the middle but actually heaps of different buildings. The crown jewels were really amazing. It was really neat to see them right up close. All of the crowns and the biggest diamond in the world. Mum brought herself a ring and  now she keeps telling us she has some crown jewels!!!
After we finished at the Tower of London we walked across the Tower Bridge which is right beside the Tower of London. We also saw the shard building and later in the day we saw "The Gherkin" We spent about an hour and a half at the "London Dungeon" and Rachel got burnt at the stake as a witch. It was really fun with a log flume in the dark that sends you down backwards, a 4D movie and a freefall drop ride at the end.

We were totally knackered and worn out with mega sore feet by the end of today but managed to walk our way to St Pauls Catheral at about 6.30pm only to find out it had just closed! That was it for us - back on the tube (that was so jam packed at rush hour you could hardly breath let alone find a space to stand). We were so tired by the time we got home we just had a bacon sammie and went to sleep! Another fun day in the city that really does never sleep.

First Day of walking around.

The closest station to our hotel, about a 3 minute walk.
The best Ice Cream I ever did taste.
Today we went to Buckingham Palace and went inside for the tour. It was really amazing. The photos you see don't show quite how amazing it is. It took about 2 hours to go through the whole tour. After we had been through we had high tea in the Palace Gardens cafe. It was really lovely although a little windy. After that we walked for MILES up to Piccadily Circus and Leicester Square. We ate Ben and Jerrys Ice Cream - YUMMY! We also went shopping at the hugest sports store. There were 6 floors and in the mens shoes there were about 800 different shoes. Just for the mens!!
The London eye from Buckingham place

The Guards at Buckingham Place, they really do stand so still
 its crazy.
Daniel got a cool pair of the lastest Nikes for 37 pound - about $NZ74. Everything was soooo cheap. We had McDonalds for breakfast and it only cost 13 pound for all of us. It is much cheaper than NZ for most things. Even 500 gms of fancy cheese was only 2 pound at the supermarket. We caught the tube every where - SUCH FUN! The travel passes we got for about $200 NZ have been worth their weight in gold as we have travelled so much on them already. We also had our first pub lunch of Nacho's and a Ploughman's Platter.
Girl Guiding in the UK. I couldn't believe it :)

London Time!!

This is when we first got to the London airport. We arrived after an 11 hour flight and we were eager to get to our hotel and go to sleep. When we were in the airport I noticed this man  that looked like a moose because of the planes by his head. To get to our hotel we had to take the train from Heathrow to Paddington after that we got a taxi that took about 10 mins to get to our hotel.
The taxi was weird we couldnt sit in the front by the driver but it had five sets in the back. The it had three normal ones like in the back of a car and the two extras were fold down sets that sat backwards. The back of the car was really big we had four of us in the back and a suitcase as well.

Last photos of Seoul for a few weeks

Daniel's Giant Ant

Our confusing toilet

This is our toilet in Incheon we couldnt work it out.
Lucky Daniel was there to help!

All the buttons on the side

First Thousand Spent.

We spent our first thousand last night, on chewing gum!!
But 1000 won really only equals about $1

We arrived at Incheon airport at about 5.30 Korean time. We made our way though the airport pretty easily, we got our free hotel from Korean airlines. The man was funny he made us line up and follow him to the bus, mum thought it was harlirious. While we were waiting we saw some Korean police in the army styled uniforms, one carrying a machine gun and the other carrying a taser. We got on our bus which was a quick ride to our hotel, via the Incheon bridge which takes you from the airport which is all on reclaimed land.

Our Plane and Seoul's Sunset

Seoul's Rainbow sunset as we were traveling to our hotel.

This is our plane that we traveled on from Auckland to Incheon.
